At OG Clean Fuels you charge 100% green electricity

Drive electric on 100% green electricity

Electric driving is a form of driving in which vehicles are powered by electric batteries instead of internal combustion engines. Instead of using traditional fuels such as gasoline or diesel, electric vehicles use electricity as a fuel. The electricity is stored in rechargeable batteries, which serve as an energy source for the vehicle.

Most electric cars have a range between 150 and 425km. The Netherlands has a large covering infrastructure with approximately 4200 fast chargers from which 30 belong to OG Clean Fuels.

Driving an electric vehicle is clean, quiet and indirectly emits about 30 to 55% less CO2 per kilometer driven than a fuel car.

Why choose for driving electric?

Driving electric is better for the environment, because there is no direct emission of harmful emissions whilst driving.

This contributes to reducing air pollution as well as reducing the dependency on fossil fuels. Electric driving is suitable for anyone who wants to drive clean for short distances.

ELECTRIC DRIVING FOR
TRANSPORT

Electric trucks produce less noise compared to trucks with internal combustion engines

This is an advantage in urban areas and at night when delivering goods in noise-sensitive areas. Because of this, it could lower the number of vehicles on the road during peak hours. Environmental zones are also no longer an obstacle and certain buildings could even be entered wit an electric vehicle. An electric truck has about 30% fewer moving parts than a diesel version, this also reduces the maintenance costs. Emission-free trucks, such as electric trucks, can still benefit from an attractive exemption from the Maut until the end of 2025.

EV MANUFACTURING PROCESS

The process of producing green electricity for our charging stations starts with the generation of wind energy. This energy is converted to high voltage and transported to cities and towns via a national network of high-voltage lines. Once it arrives, the voltage is reduced to low voltage in transformation houses. From these substations, underground cables run to buildings. These enter through the meter box.

The OG charging points are connected to the meter box and are now supplied with green electricity from wind turbines.

CHARGING LOCATIONS

The Netherlands currently has some 120,000 public charging stations and over 4,200 public fast chargers. This gives the Netherlands the highest charging density in Europe. The charging time to charge an electric car depends on how empty the battery is, how fast the car can charge and which charging station is available at the time. You often need a charging card to charge an electric car, but in cases you can also use a mobile app linked to your bank account or credit card.

See all charging card options here.

CHARGING TIME

The charging time of an electric vehicle depends on how empty the battery is, how fast the vehicle can charge and which charging pole is available at that time. Often you will need a specific charging card to charge your electric vehicle, but in some cases, you can also use a mobile app that is connected to your bank account or credit card.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DRIVING

An electric car emits nothing tank-to-wheel (from the exhaustion pipe). This is therefore also referred to as zero emission. When you measure well-to-wheel, electric driving is less clean. This due to CO2 emissions from the battery production, tire wear and driving on gray electricity. When green energy is used, this makes a huge difference.

They already drive clean!

Elestric rijopleidingen

"Elestric Rijopledingen is the most sustainable driving school in the Almskerk region, with an all-electric Nissan Leaf and an Audi A3 G-tron on Bio-CNG. I charge the car mainly at home, where we have 38 solar panels. But if necessary, we can also charge it at OG in Nieuwendijk. I am really a fan of electric driving, the efficiency of an electric engine is many times higher than that of a fossil fuel engine and there really are disadvantages to electric driving, but for me they do not outweigh the advantages."

Noot personenvervoer

"As a passenger transport company, a large part of our revenue comes from tenders. More and more customers want taxi transport to be sustainable. The taxis and taxi buses we use are on the road almost every day. They often drive a lot and through busy areas. By using sustainable vehicles, we achieve significant CO2 savings and even zero emissions in large parts of the Netherlands. This is in line with our vision of sustainable business and the green footprint we want to leave in society."
